Vela Luka is small town situated in a deep sheltered bay on the west side of the island of Korcula with population of approximately 4,500 inhabitants. It is quiet Mediterranean town with a beautiful and unspoiled landscape suitable for tourism.

Vela Luka is the youngest town on Korcula Island but many archeological findings witnesses the ancient life that existed here. The main sight to prove that is Vela Spila, cave situated above town and it is famous for its beauty and objects dating from the early prehistoric period.
