Visiting Trogir

Trogir is situated 6 kilometers from Split Airport, and a regular bus connects town with the airport and Split town. In the future planning is the Split Suburban Railway towards the Trogir and the airport.

The Historic City of Trogir

Trogir, the small town near Split, has fascinating example of urban continuity with his 2300 years old urban tradition which was created under the influence of old Greeks, Romans, and Venetians.
Trogir has a high concentration of churches, palaces and towers and has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997.
 
Trogir Croatia

The Historic City of Trogir surrounded by walls, consists by preserved castle and tower with a number of palaces and dwellings, it is the best preserved Romanesque-Gothic complex in all of Central Europe. The main town building is the church of St. Lawrence and is the most significant work of the Romanesque-Gothic style in Croatia.

Trogir The Fortress Kamerlengo

The most outstanding sites you can see in the historic centre of Trogir are: The cathedral of St. Lawrence from the 13th century, The city gate from 17th century and city walls from 15th century, The Fortress Kamerlengo from 15th century, The Duke's Palace from 13th century and The city loggia from 15th century. Not to forget the remarkable historic town core with about 10 churches and number of buildings from 13th century.
