Orebic is town situated on the southwest peninsula of Peljesac beneath Mount Sveti Ilija (Saint Elias) in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County; it is located on the channel Peljesac opposite the town of Korcula on the island and with him, connected by ferry.
Orebic was founded in late 15th and early 16th century, as a part of the Dubrovnik Republic, and from the very beginning town was using Adriatic Sea as a source of development and prosperity. It is the town with great maritime tradition and was known as a place with lots of sea captains.
Today tourism is the most important activity of the town, and there is also transit traffic ferry connection with Korcula Island. Olive and wine productions is also important part and town and area is known for famous "Dingac" and "Postup" type of wines.
Town of Orebic has more than 1500 inhabitants; it is colorful town, which offers to its guest’s untouched nature of centennial pines, cypresses, olives, almonds, agaves and flowers. It is town with untouched nature, hundred years old vegetations, long sandy beaches and numerous small bays with crystal clear sea.

One of the town's landmarks is Franciscan Monastery, built in 1470, situated on the hill above town. From there you can enjoy in impressive and memorable view to Orebic, Korcula and whole archipelago of Peljesac channel.
Maritime Museum
It is founded in 1957 and offers exhibition of reach maritime history and variety of materials from the history.
Windsurfing
The main sport attraction for tourist coming to Orebic is windsurfing as the winds between Korcula Island and Peljesac peninsula can get pretty strong.
Wine-cellar
