Longest Sausage Made in Croatia

During the Saturday 14 February, the longest sausage in the world was made in Croatia.
The sausage was made in town of Vinkovci situated in the Slavonia region, by the members of the "Slavonia Home Kulen-Kulin" association, as part of the project which has the aim of promoting the culture and traditions of city and region.

The longest sausage measuring 530 meters was made with 400 kg of pork, 2,5 kg of spices 10 kg of salt, and 3,5 kg of garlic bought from local farm, according to the City Administration.

The sausage was fried in a huge pan and was distributed to citizens and accompanied by good Slavonia wine. The longest sausage could feed approximately 3,000 people, but Organizers said it was just "training" for next year when they plan to produce a sausage measuring 1,000 meters.

According to the Guinness Book of Records the longest sausage made so far is measured 392 meters and was made in Romania in December last year.
